When are courses starting?

We’re currently running pilot courses and courses with community groups.  These are going really well and we’re ironing out a few wrinkles.  We expect to be offering public courses from early 2024. Stay in touch by subscribing to our mailing list and following us on Instagram.

When will the workshop be open to members?

We need to equip the workshop properly before it will be ready for members. We’re well on the way and hope to be ready soon. You can help by donating funds or equipment here, or subscribe to our mailing list to stay in the loop.

Wait, aren’t you just like a MenzShed?

We love the MenzSheds. They do great things in bringing men together for short sessions a few times a week, reducing social isolation among that particular demographic.

But we’re different.  

We are inclusive - we welcome people of all genders, races, ages, sexualities…  We think woodwork is for everyone and see enormous value in broader social connection. 

We are a teaching organisation - we will offer woodworking courses at all levels - from complete beginners making simple projects right through to advanced courses in fine furniture making. 

We aim to provide a superbly equipped workshop for members’ use, with extensive opening hours.  Members will be able to work on their own or with help from a skilled workshop manager.
